Make sure there is no cream or oil on the skin as this can prevent the wax from adhering effectively. Step 2: Insert the wax cartridge into a heater specially designed for wax cartridges. Make sure the unit is plugged in and wait until the wax is completely melted. Step 3: Test the temperature of the wax on the inside of your wrist to avoid burns. The wax should be warm but not hot. Step 4: Apply the wax to the area to be waxed using quick strokes in the direction of hair growth. Step 5: Lay a strip of paper over the wax and press firmly to adhere the strip to the wax.
